Animals in 5 gallon tank?

I have a glass tank and I was wondering which animals I could put in there? I LOVE snakes! I already have red-tailed sharks, so no more fish. No insects! I want something I can handle and take out of it's cage. I currently have 3 happy hermit crabs so none of those for a while. SNAKES please!
