Can hermit crabs feel lonely?

ok so I currently have 2 crabs, Zig and Honey Bee. ok so when I put Zig in the I.S.O tank cause he was molting. I felt bad for Honey Bee cause she was by herself in the regular tank. I asked my mom if I could get another one and she said no cause they don't get lonely. So is this true? Also how can I convince her to let me get one more?
