Why does everyone say they want an Atheists opinion when they really mean Pagan (non-christian not neo-pagan)?

This just made me wonder why Christians seem to value the godless peoples opinion more than simply the people who do not share their religion (a much broader category). From the look of these boards you Christian types have a serious fascination with Atheists. Just wondered if there was a reason behind it or if it was ignorance as to what they are asking when they say they want 'Atheist opinions'.
