How do i take care of a mouse?

i have an aquarium ready and im thinking of either getting a mouse or a hermit crab.help me decide.but anyway...how do i take care of a mouse?can i use hay for bedding?how often do i have to clean the cage?how do i tame it?etc.i just need to learn the basics on how to take care of one.
