Can hermit crabs see my infrared light?

I tried using just an undertank heater to start off, but it never seemed to warm up the tank enough, so I went and bought an infrared light that I have been using for the past month now. But I know that hermit crabs are nocturnal, so I was just wondering, do they see it, and if so, does it bother them at night time? thanks (:
