Is this a paranormal superstition?

Last summer, there was this one day were there were tons of flies in my house, and i mean TONS. Ive never seen so much, they were sworming in the living room and there was at least one in each room. This happend on a thursday. Well friday (the next day) they were gone, and a dead one in each window of the house. Well anyways, on sunday, my grandmother (i live with my grandparents) went to go get the paper at her fathers house (she does so every sunday after my greatgrandfather was done with it) he usually kept the paper outside because he was a hermit and didnt like socializing after his wifes death. Well the paper wasnt on the porch so my grandmother went inside to get it. When she got inside, there was a swarm of flies leading to the basement and she noticed the basement door was open so she went to shut it and noticed my great grandfather dead at the bottom of the stairs. investigators came in and said he died by falling down the stairs on THURSDAY night.... the same night the flies were swarming my house, around the same time of his death. Could this be a sign of death? Or was it just timing? Please help, this has been bugging me for a while and im into the paranormal stuff. ive had paranormal things happen before. please dont joke about this, its serious to me
