Why don’t Christians understand that the default state for their god is that it doesn’t exist?
The default state for the universe is that it is a godless universe. Since Christians have not been able to prove their god exists, it doesn’t exist. They have not even come close to producing evidence. Simply asking, “How did the universe begin; it can’t just begin by itself?” this is an argument from ignorance because it simply shows that the arguer is ignorant of other explanations. There’s a good reason you can’t use an argument from ignorance in court, because it’s a bogus argument. That’s why we have defaults when there is no direct evidence; innocence until proven guilty, godless universe until proven otherwise. The burden of proof is on those making the claim that the default is wrong. Christians claim there is a god; they have to prove it before any argument assuming a god exists can be used, right?
